Todi

Driving away from Hotel Garden direction Perugia, in 30 minutes you will get to Todi, which was chosen in the 1990s as the world’s most livable city. It’s really impressive from a distance and has wonderful views from its centre to the valley of Tevere river. Getting in Todi, you’ll immediately see the impressive Tempio della Consolazione, a white church built in XVI century with a Greek-cross. You can park your car and walk to the city centre where you’ll visit the medieval Palazzo del Popolo, Palazzo del Capitano, Palazzo dei Priori and the Cathedral, all in the Piazza del Popolo. From there you can enjoy a beautiful landscape.  Other interesting sights are the “Tempio di San Fortunato” and the XIX century Theater.

We suggest you: Driving 7 miles direction Perugia from Todi you will get the small medieval village called Montecastello di Vibio where you can visit the nice Teatro della Concordia, which is the smallest theatre all’italiana in the world.
